Eurasia Coffee Co: Coffee That Tells the Story of Missions

Eurasia Coffee Co’s Storefront. The large windows allow natural lighting to set the mood and atmosphere of the cafe.

A few streets South of C-Street lies Evangel University. Many EU students and faculty members support Commercial Street and patronize their favorite shops and cafes.

Eurasia Coffee Co. is a fan favorite among Evangelites. The cafe sits at the corner of Commerical and Benton with its signature painted-black exterior and unique logo printed on the glass.

The space features renewed and trendy styles complemented by natural lighting. The entire cafe feels organic — leafy plants, earth-tones, and conversational buzz revolve around the beating heart of the coffee bar.

In addition to serving its community on C-street, Eurasia Coffee also serves their community abroad. The cafe’s namesake comes from their dedication to missionary work.

Karen and Justin Beiler use their coffee shop as a way to fund projects and serve in “outside of the box” missions. In an interview, Karen explained how Eurasia Coffee came to be:

“Eurasia Coffee Co was birthed out of the Assemblies of God — specifically, the Eurasia Region of Assemblies of God World Missions. Omar Beiler, Regional Director, when visiting churches, noticed how people would congregate around the coffee bar, but hardly ever were people congregating around the missions board/wall. He wanted to combine the two. Coffee that told the story of missions. In this case, the life-changing work happening in Eurasia. It was one of the first successful Business as Missions projects!”

One of the chief ministries they work with is Project Rescue. This organization rescues women from sex trafficking and equips them with the skills and opportunities to begin a new life. You can learn more about this project here.

Karen and Justin’s heart for missions makes Eurasia Coffee Co all the more appetizing to Evangel Students and local Christians. However, their practical benevolence and support of altruistic programs such as well-drilling, garden-planting, and Project Rescue appeals to all, regardless of religious affiliation. \

In addition to their humanitarian work, Eurasia serves the best cup of coffee on C-Street.

Instead of the cheaper, common Robusta beans, the cafe pours Arabica coffee — a rarely used, rich, and high quality bean that is roasted to order. The full-bodied coffee gives Eurasia an elevated taste pallete, setting it apart from the competition. Despite the elegance of the coffee, the genuine humility that lies at the heart of Eurasia never lets its products out-weight the warm and inviting atmospehre of the cafe.

Eurasia Coffee also sells wholesale directly from their website. Be sure to check out their Single-Origin coffees!
